After the contest


The Talk Back to Big Tobacco! Script & Storyboard Contest is the first phase of a larger project to involve New Mexico youth in the production of tobacco counter-marketing messages.

Phase 2 

In Spring 2008, the winning radio scripts will be produced by members of the Youth Radio Project at KUNM-FM in Albuquerque NM.  The winning TV storyboards will be produced by a team of youth producers at Community Cable Access Channel 27 in Albuquerque.

The completed spots will be posted on this website, aired on KUNM-FM and Community Cable Access Channel 27, and distributed to youth tobacco prevention programs in New Mexico.

Phase 3

In Fall 2008, the New Mexico Department of Health, Public Health Division, Tobacco Use Prevention and Control Program (TUPAC) may, at its discretion, purchase rights to one or more script, storyboard or completed spot for statewide radio or TV broadcast.  For more information on Phase 3, please This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it  at TUPAC, or call him at 505-841-5874.
