First entries received

The first entries in the 2008 contest have arrived!

We've received one radio script and one TV storyboard from a student at Cibola High School in Albuquerque. (Yes, you can send us more than one script or storyboard!)

If you haven't started to work on your script or storyboard, now's the time. Explore our website to see the winning TV & radio spots in our previous contests, and to learn how to create an effective tobaccco prevention message. Then start talking back to Big Tobacco!

Contest Director begins work

We're pleased to announce that Windy Gay has been appointed to coordinate this year's Talk Back to Big Tobacco! Script & Storyboard Contest.

As the contest has expanded, we've needed help. This year, Windy will coordinate publicity and outreach, respond to questions from contestants, process all the entries, coordinate the judging process, and arrange the premiere.

Windy brings a lot of experience in youth organizing and tobacco prevention work. She has worked with YWCA-Middle Rio Grande to reduce tobacco use and second hand smoke exposure in New Mexico, and was coordinator of the Youth Link program at New Mexico Voices for Children, where she organized and coordinated high school and college tobacco use prevention coalitions. She is currently a graduate student at the University of New Mexico.

You can reach Windy at This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it
